What are groundworks, in the context of piling?
Groundwork is a collective term used to refer to a variety of different activities geared towards preparing sub-surfaces for the start of a construction project – including site clearance, excavation, grading, and levelling, to help create a stable foundation.
Technically, piling is a type of groundwork. However, before any piling can begin, all of the following groundwork activities will first need to be either completed, or at least accounted for:
