We were initially contacted by a builder who was currently building a single-story extension and needed piling work. He found that the ground was unsuitable for tradition foundations earlier on so was able to book in advance, he expressed that he needed to keep to his schedule. We arranged a site visit with our operations manager for the next morning to discuss what work would be needed, site preparations and our process. A start date was confirmed for the following week and the client was sent all the health and safety RAMs.
Day 1 – our team arrived on-site, and all the piles were driven to their required depth. The steel cages were fabricated and installed. Building control came out that afternoon to ensure that everything was done to the engineer’s design and signed it off.
Day 2 – concrete was booked for first pour in the morning. After the concrete had been poured our team ensured the site was left clean and tidy allowing the builder to continue with his work and keeping to his schedule.
Once we received the paperwork from the site, the client was sent a copy of the pile logs, engineers’ calculations and insurance certificate.
